FAQ

A: We do fantastic work—and do it in a way that makes the entire remodeling process easy on you. We work within your budget to deliver you a superior project at a great investment. We help you through the entire design process to discover the perfect remodel for your style, needs, and home specifications. And we pull it all off with a “no-hiccups” construction process and world-class craftsmanship. You will love just how pleasant we make your experience.

A:  We charge for an onsite consultation with you at your home. That deposit would be considered a retainer and would go towards your project should we end up working together. Our goal is so truly invest in your project and give your job specific and real attention. One of the biggest struggles of the remodeling industry is the disparity of cost from the initial “estimate” to the actual end of job final total cost.

Most of us have heard the horror stories of contractors telling them one number in the initial “estimate” and now that their house is all opened up and the customer has already given a large deposit, the contractor is telling them there are large unforeseen costs the homeowner needs to pay. This is a priority for us to avoid, so we intend to spend more time upfront reviewing your project, and more time in our design and project diagnostic phase to make sure we are being thorough in your project planning.  Not only will this make you more comfortable, knowing you are covered, but it also protects us from having unhappy customers. Our goal is to under promise and over deliver.  Our initial two-part consultation consists of the following

-The 1st consultation is a visit to your home for a 1 hour meeting with a Design Remodel Consultant where they will gather pictures, measurements, and have discuss with you ideas for your space.  Our Owner and our estimating team then review your project details with the Design Remodel Consultant and develop a document called “Opinion of Probable Cost”. This document will have a number range for your considerations (Example: Kitchen Project $75,000-$90,000) and a project overview that we would review in our second consultation.

-The 2nd consultation takes place at our showroom and includes 3 things that will be helpful to you in your discernment process.

  • You will get a Tour of the Showroom where any questions you may have about finishes, cabinetry, flooring, countertops, ETC will be answered
  • You will then be introduced to our CAD software, typically we review pictures and design drawings of other projects we’ve done that are very similar to the type of project you are looking to pursue, we have been around for 30 years so it’s very likely we have completed another project with a similar layout as yours that we can us to generate ideas from.

•             Written bullet points about your project with a budget range for one (1) project based on our “Opinion of Probable Cost” document. Our estimating team compares your project to other projects we have completed (+/- 20%) based on the known information. This is meant to give you a starting point in considering your project and ideally get you excited about working with us while understanding what kind of budget makes sense for your project

A: The old saying “you get what you pay for” is especially true in the remodeling industry. And when you hire us, you’re paying for QUALITY and EXCEPTIONAL service. Are we the cheapest? No—if you’re price shopping (which is NOT a good idea), you can definitely find someone who will remodel your home for a cheaper price than we will. Are we overpriced? Absolutely not—we charge what it takes to do the job right. Not a penny more.
A: The best way for you to get a great project at a fair price is to ensure the contractor you’ve hired has a good reputation. Does the company have a sizeable amount of positive reviews? Do they belong to any associations? Do they have a client-reference list you can call? Have they won any awards for their work? These are the things a quality contractor should be able to provide you. Check out our Reputation page to see some of our own reviews, awards, and associations. By looking through this section, you’ll see that we can provide you with superior service at a reasonable investment.

A:We are rare in the industry as weutilize expert, in-house, friendly craftsmen for your project.  While other contractors have “trade partners/subcontractors” that will continually be coming through your home, we will have a full-time onsite project manager.  We pull our own plumbing and electrical permits and are a full service Design Build company. This means our communication, construction and completion of your project are autonomous. No more waiting around for the electrician or plumber to get to your home and hold up your job. Your remodel is too important to us to outsource it to subcontractors. Check out our Workmanship page for more details.

A: We are firmly against any kind of sales pressure. We focus on building trusting relationships with our clients—and starting off with a high-pressure, arm-twisting consultation is not how to make a homeowner trust you. We get to know you, ask questions, and actually listen… no pressure whatsoever. We never force you into anything—YOU are the ultimate decision maker.
A: We never take on more jobs than we can handle. We are a big enough company to handle multiple jobs at once, WHILE working on your project from start to finish. This ensures your remodel is done quickly, efficiently, and with the quality you deserve.

A: Unless it’s a very large-scale project, no. Anything we can do to make the remodeling experience easy on you, we will do. Read more about Our Process and Workmanship pages to see how we keep your stress to a minimum and make the entire process as easy and straightforward as possible. Also check out our Video Reviews. You’ll notice that all of our clients say the same thing—we make the remodeling experience easier than imagined!

A: The industry-average labor warranty is one year. We feel that’s much too short of a time—if a problem is going to occur, it’s almost never going to happen within the first year. That’s why we offer a 5-year warranty on our craftsmanship and 10-year structural warranty. We rarely make mistakes or have to return to fix something. But in the occasional instance something does go wrong, you’re protected.
A: Our thorough process allows you to see the design and materials before we start construction. We take your remodeling dreams from your mind, design them so you can visualize your project, and then bring them to life in your home. Read about Our Process for more details.
