Our Process for Green

When we meet for our initial appointment, we will ask you about your desires to incorporate green into your home.  We will introduce you to the variety of products and techniques that are widely used, and point out the pros and cons of each product as a way to determine what is best for your remodel at this time.  Greening can be done in phases and we can help you prioritize which elements make the most sense to incorporate at the time of your remodel.  For further assistance, go to our “Planning your Project” section and use the forms online to record your green desires for you to discuss with us.  Gather any pictures or images you may have seen in a magazine that depicts the look that appeals to you and document your questions about green products as well as design.

For Gehman, there was such a thing as thinking green before our time. Before the word “green” ever came in vogue, we remodeled our current showroom headquarters – an 1870s barn – using low argon windows, tankless water heaters, and cellulose foam insulation.
