Mick Kaye grew up alongside his two brothers in his family’s waterproofing business – leading crews while still in High School in Northeast Philadelphia.
Mick brings 4 decades of experience in Home Remodeling and Foundation Repair to his new job at Gehman Design Remodeling, a place he feels blessed to call home. His experience in award-winning home design has created a wealth of skills that Mick delivers to every project and every client.
Along with excellent design, spatial planning and attention to the smallest detail; Mick’s greatest strength is that he puts the clients’ needs and dreams first.
Mick spends his free time refinishing furniture for friends and family members, and biking and hiking in his Bucks County hometown. He has a passion for working to end hunger especially as it affects children, and in 2011 he co-founded the non-profit group, Small Fry, in Center City Philadelphia.
Small Fry teaches children and their parents, affected by poverty, how to make nutritious meals using easily found and inexpensive ingredients. Mick is hoping to bring Small Fry to the surrounding Philadelphia counties soon.
Mick also founded the Bucks County Aquarium Society in 1988. The BCAS has become one of the largest groups of aquarium enthusiasts in the nation and still thrives today with well over 200 members.
He is the proud father of one son, who after graduating from Penn State spent two years in AmeriCorps helping those in need across the country.
Mick’s passion for his work and for helping people is clearly seen in every interaction with his friends, family and clients.
